I am Assistant Director for Technology and Geoeconomic Affairs at the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR). In this role, I lead NBR’s research on emerging technology innovation, deployment, and governance; economic security and statecraft, and U.S.-China competition in the economic and technology domains. I also co-edit our flagship Strategic Asia volume, which examines regional and global grand strategic trends.

I am also a member of Pacific Forum’s Young Leaders Program and YPFP’s Rising Experts Program. I graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service (Hoya Saxa!), where I majored in international political economy with a Chinese minor and Asian studies certificate. My academic interests include the role of economic statecraft in grand strategy; the intersection of technology, trade, and national security; and the political economy of trade policy.
